[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] July Net Control - Special Nets Solicitation

It's that time again when the dulcet tones of "The Golden Voice of Net
Control" starts the "beg-a-thon" for the next month's net controllers!!!

DSTAR Wednesday:  1, 8, 15, 22, 29 July
2m Thursday:  2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 July
Special Nets:  TBD

Speaking of special nets... THANK YOU for all who participated in the first
"joint special net" between ARC and MVARC this past Monday evening.   We
had 15 stations check in (to include the NCS) and a great time was had by
all of the amateur radio enthusiasts of both clubs.  We hope to replicate
another joint special net in the future using the W4HFH repeater and the
MVARC net preamble.   More to follow when we get one set up and on the
calendar.   In the meantime, if there is interest in a 220, 70cm or 6m FM
net, please send me an email so I can get a sense of what the club would
like for a special net in July.  I'm thinking about a HF special net (10,
20 or 40m) for August.

HEADS UP... For the last part of August and early September, I'm going to
be out of the area on vacation.   I've been asking for months to get an
understudy (The Aluminum Voice of Net Control), so this would be great
practice for an understudy to help set up August's nets during my absence.
