[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Joint 2m Special Net (ARC-MVARC) Check-Ins (K4US Repeater)

Our first Joint Special Net with the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club on the
K4US Repeater was an overwhelming success last night!    One of the
highlights of the night was a member of the MVARC who had been a member of
ARC as a teenager in the 1960's and the story of how ARC used to provide
comms support to the Alexandria Boat Races back in the day.  That might not
be one of our support missions now, but we are still in the business of
supporting community events in Alexandria with ham radio communications!

Aaannndd... I heard ARC voices on 2 meters that I haven't heard in a LONG
time!
