[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] GW Parade Team

Greetings to all you Radio Patriots! 
 
It's time to get the team back together to help the GW Parade Committee manage that sometimes dynamic Order of March on the 14th of February 2026.  The parade is scheduled to run between 2 and 4PM so let's hope for good weather.
 
The parade route this year has been adjusted to accommodate the renovations at City Hall and basically the route is a mirror of the 2025 route just a couple of blocks west.  Basically, the northbound march will be up St Asaph St, east a block on Queen and then south on Pitt St past the reviewing stand at King St. 
 
We will have the comms trailer on King St behind the reviewing stand between Royal and Pitt St.  This same route will also apply to the St Patrick's Day parade in March.  I have attached the graphic of the parade route which will help orient yourself to the area.
 
As in the past, we plan to use the Mt Vernon repeater for this event so a simple rubber duck antenna will work unless you already have the Signal Stick antennas on your HTs!!   
 
In addition to radio operators, this year we will need at least one trailer operator to make the corrections to spreadsheet on the laptop and print out the corrected division Order of March.
 
Please let me know soonest if you are available to support the GW Parade on 14 February.
