[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] St Patrick's Day Parade - 07 March 2026

Greetings to all! 
 
It's time to lace up those marching boots and come out to support our Irish cousins, the Ballyshaners and the St Patrick's Day Parade Committee.  As always, our task will be to manage that ever-important Order of March information.  The parade is scheduled for 07 March 2026 from 2 to 4PM.  Now that we've gotten all that rough winter weather out of the way, we anticipate an awesome day!
 
The parade route this year has been adjusted to accommodate the renovations at City Hall so it will proceed up St. Asaph St from South Old Town turning east on Queen St and then turning south on Pitt St.  This is great news as last year we only had two blocks from the start line to the reviewing stand which really compressed the time we had to produce the corrected Order of March and get it to the Reviewing Stand.  This year we have 8 blocks to work with!  
 
We will have the ARC Comms trailer on King St behind the reviewing stand between Royal and Pitt St.    I have attached the graphic of the parade route which will help orient you to the area.
 
As in the past, we plan to use the Mt Vernon repeater for this event so a simple rubber duck antenna will work unless you already have the Signal Stick antennas on your HTs!!
