Good evening Club members,

We received notification that the District Emergency Operations Center
(EOC) will escalate to Level 1: Full Operation for the Freedom 250 Grand
Prix on Saturday, August 22 (8 AM–7 PM) and Sunday, August 23 (8 AM–4 PM).

Consequently, the DC Metropolitan Amateur Radio Program (DC MARP)
Partnership has issued a general call for volunteers to join the effort.

If you are interested in participating, please email me (
stex.fonda at gmail.com ) by Wednesday, August 19. This will allow me to
evaluate the feasibility of creating a Club roster to support the event.
Based on the response, I will work with the Club's Officers to decide if we
have enough manning to participate.
