[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] TONS OF TRUCKS

The Alexandria City Manager and OEM coordinator requested our participation in the Tons of Trucks event this Saturday, 20 September.  Tons of Trucks puts examples of every piece of large / heavy equipment used by the City on display at Chinquapin Park from 10-2 on Saturday.  In response to the City's request, we will bring the Club trailer to the event and stage with the OEM team as they have carved out parking space for us.  Not sure what OEM is bringing for bling or other but perhaps we can bring the drinks (eg; gatorade).  Hope to find out more and get a parking map by tomorrow.
 
We need a few ARC members to show up and talk with attendees, show off your radios, talk about the benefits of ham radio and the benefits of joining a club.  Not too tough a task but important.
 
Think you can help us out?   10-2 on Saturday 20 September at Chinquapin Park (Same place as Field Day)
