The Arlington Amateur Radio Club offers amateur radio exams monthly.

The FCC may be shut down during the Federal government closure but 
our VE team ability to offer exams is unaffected.

When Congress is able to pass a funding bill and the FCC reopens for 
business, all of the queued exam results will be processed.

The FCC is currently not accepting new requests for a FCC 
Registration Number (FRN) required to take a amatuer radio exam.

We have a work around...

Our exam team will give amateur radio exams during the Federal 
government shutdown without the required FRN, issue you a Certificate 
of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) upon passing the exam, 
and work with the VEC after the fact to submit your results when the 
FCC comes back on-line and your are able to obtain an FRN.

Sooo...

Quit procrastinating, brush up on your study material, take advantage 
of your furlough from work, and use this opportunity to obtain your 
amateur radio licence.

Two exam opportunities this month:

Sunday October 5, 2025 at the American Legion Post in Falls Church

Saturday October 18, 2025 at Columbia Island Marina during the Boy 
Scouts of America Jamboree on the Air (JOTA)
