Greetings from Jacksonville, NC, ARC friends,

FYI, I’m testing my new HF antenna configuration here. I had 3 successful check-ins to Winlink Wednesday (https://winlinkwednesday.net <https://winlinkwednesday.net/> <https://winlinkwednesday.net/>) this morning. First, using VARA HF through one of the RMS gateways, and then 2 to 2 separate peer 2 peer Alternate NCS using ARDOP, one on 40 and the other on 80 meters.

Nice to have my rig back in working order.

As such, I’ve let the NCS (David Elkins, KN4LQN) know I’m available starting next week as an alternate NCS again.

Next week, I’ll do it as a dry run. In the morning ARDOP P2P session, I’ll be listening on 10.143 MHz (on the DIAL, not center). For the afternoon VARA HF P2P session, I’ll be listening on 14.087 MHz (DIAL).

We’re not publishing my station on the roster next week, but any or all of you are welcome to check in.

I’ll then be back on the full ANCS roster as of Nov 26, on the above modems and frequencies.

If you want to get going with P2P or dust off your gear, I’m available to help.

(BTW, if your license level is Technician, you can still do Winlink Wednesday. There are VARA FM RMS gateways available for that.)

Cheers,

Ken

P.S. That, and my morning batch of sourdough English muffins came out great. The colder temperatures slow down the wild yeast substantially.
