Another powerful and feature packed club net yesterday evening, with 18 stations checking in! Some intermittent signal problems, mostly variations of noise causing some struggle, but we’ve identified what we could and you have a whole week to work on it. If you suspect it is your rig or config, remember you can use any of the 10,or so club repeaters 24/7, under your own Amateur license privileges.
Other than that, way too much for me to summarize here (hey, drop in and hear it firsthand!), but I will remind you of four things:
D-Day commemoration, with club comms support, at Market Square on King St in Old Town Alexandria, this Sunday 1p-4p.
New Net Controller Class is forming. Catch up to Bryan WD4ADF for details.
Test chat net on 10m next Saturday June 7, which means Technician class stations can jump on HF! Check your rigs and plan to jump in somewhere between 28.300 and 28.500 MHz. Careful of those band edges.
W2HAC send along another nice way to check your own signal quality, through the repeaters or any old time. It’s a locally managed Web SDR and is used for much more, such as waterfall display and just plain fun scanning. Take a peek: NA5B.com
