MVARC is supporting a Cub Scout event at the Coast Guard station on Telegraph Road on Saturday afternoon from 1300-1500 and needs our help.
Earlier this week, the K4US repeater began exhibiting an audible hum which negatively impacted its ability to both receive and send the clear transmissions required for the Cub Scout event. They believe the problem is in the power supply and are unable to make repairs by tomorrow.
The event lead and VP of the MVARC made a request to use the W4HFH 2M FM repeater to support the event. I have approved their request for support in the use of the W4HFH repeater for tomorrow 1300-1500 local. Please refrain from using the 2M FM repeater during those times. The 70CM UHF repeater remains fully functional as evidenced by the net that WD4ADF ran last Monday night and is fully available for use.
Please let me know if you have any questions on this and thank you for allowing us to support our local radio club comrades.
73,
Sean
