This is a superb opportunity. During the years I supported this
100-mile race between super humans from all over the world, I felt great
satisfaction providing radio communications for their welfare along the
course. It was also a great commune with nature. You will likely need
the power of a mobile radio and a telescoping pole for your VHF antenna,

Hi,

The Virginia Happy Trails Running Club is hosting its 29th annual run and
they need hams.

The race is on 17-18 May in the lovely George Washington National Forest.
And yes, I know this conflicts with an event in Dayton.

The race is a 2 day event beginning early Saturday morning and Sunday
afternoon. And with dismal mobile phone service they will need ham radio
operators dispersed over the course and at Net Control. The radio
operators are colocated at aid station that will have some food and water.
Plus some excellent race SWAG and other freebies.

For more info on the race please visit - https://new.vhtrc.org/races/mmt

And to volunteer please visit

And if you require more information please let me know.

73s,

Mike
