I just read through the bill. On one hand, I welcome protection for amateur radio operators (vs. HOAs). 

On the other hand, gulp! How many of our existing antennas would pass this scrutiny? And, if HOAs actually worked in the wording from this bill into our HOA covenants, how would that impact the cost of running a radio in an HOA?

The words that hit me hardest were regarding installation plans submitted by a licensed contractor… I’ve always gone the DIY route, personally, and I suspect most of us have. (Exceptions for those running big concrete-mounted masts/towers.)

But that’s just me.
