[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Winter Field Day 2025 - Update 1

Alexandria Radio Club,

The plan for Winter Field Day 2025 is coming together.  We have TEN operators and FIVE observers/general attendees, but we have room for more!  Additional updates:

Overnight operations are a GO!  We can radio just as long as you can hold up.

We will have some club radios to play with in addition to the Yaesu FT-891s. I have some offers from folks to bring radios. If you want to use your radio, please bring it. If you really want to see another radio let me know and I'll see if I can get someone to bring it.  We do have limits on antennas though, so if you really want to set one up, please contact me directly. CW folks, bring your own keyer.

If you are interested in a specific skill or piece of equipment, particularly Emergency Comms related, please send it to me.  Our ARES Emergency Coordinator will be on site to provide some hands-on and discussion. That can be customized by demand/interest.

Radio Operator Juice (i.e. Coffee) will be provided, but please treat this like a relocation where you may need to provide food for yourself.  However, we will do a group food order for dinner Saturday, so bring some $$$ to pitch in.

I will host some totally optional video meetings at 7pm on Wednesday (1/22) and Friday (1/24). I will run through the current plan, take input, and adjust the plan as needed. Weblinks below.  (If I have your e-mail from your RSVP I will send you a calendar invite directly, I will not be offended if you decline).  Don't hesitate to contact me directly!
