[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Everybody Loves a Parade

Fellow members,
 
We have a couple events on the upcoming calendar that we need your support on.  First, is the GW Parade on the 15th of Feb.  A first for this year, is that the parade will be run on Saturday of the holiday weekend instead of Monday and the parade will begin at 2PM instead of 1PM. 
This event is a lot of fun in an outdoor environment and is punctuated by a late Club lunch /early dinner at Glory Days on Duke St immediately following.  All that is needed is a 2M radio and a willingness to bring order to chaos!!   The parade runs from 2-4PM and we normally start to assemble downtown around 930-10 with coffee and doughnuts at the trailer.  While more details and prep instructions will be forthcoming, for now just respond to this note and I will get you on the list.  
 
The second event is scheduled for 01 Mar and that's the St Patrick's Day Parade!  In a format similar to the GW Parade, the St. Patrick's Day parade is shorter and more centered around King St in Old Town Alexandria.  This parade begins at 12:30 is all done by 2PM.  We will follow the parade with a Club lunch at our favorite venue, Glory Days!
