[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] This Week's Net and February Net Control Station Solicitations

Two items from your ARC Net Control Coordinator:

ALTERNATE REPEATER USE THIS WEEK.  As a reminder, this Thursday's net will
start and end on our 70cm repeater, 444.600, PL 107.2.  Last year when we
used alternate repeaters on 220 and 70cm to test the capability, we started
the net on the 2m repeater, simulated a repeater failure and QSY'ed over to
the alternate frequency we planned on using for that night's net.  *The
difference this time is that the net will begin and end on the 70cm
repeater. * KO2THF will act as my alternate net control station on the 2m
repeater to remind stations to join us on the 70 cm repeater.

With the permission of the Club President, I will be on the 70cm repeater
tomorrow evening from 1930-2000 for stations to test their capability on
the repeater prior to this Thursday's net.  So if you're not sure if you're
able to successfully hit the repeater, tomorrow night is your time to
test!  So come join us!

FEBRUARY NCS SOLICITATIONS.  It's that time again, so looking for stations
to volunteer for DSTAR and 2m nets for the month of February!

DSTAR Wednesday- 5, 12, 19. 26th
2m Thursday- 6, 12, 20, 27th!

As KQ4CMA always says, "we're looking for new voices" for not only
check-ins but for net control stations!  So take a net, or two or three and
let's have a great Februrary on the air!
