Chalk up another sprightly yet informative net night on the board. Notes from the log:

- The great weather the past two days had folks out of their shacks and checking/installing antennas.  Maybe that is why Phil the Groundhog runs back into his hole? He just doesn't want to deal with his antennas.
- Multiple enthusiastic recommendations to just buy more gear.  Hams are enablers!  VWS Winterfest is coming up.
- W4JJ provided some info on the Virginia QSO party. Check a message from the club email and respond directly back to Jack with questions or that you are onboard. Let's gooooo!
- We received some radio tips that seemed a bit more like a list of mistakes, an attempt at contrition, and general use of net participants as a therapy group despite a claim to the contrary. It is 2-meter excitement after all!
- It sounds like the St. Patrick's Day parade is staffed, but if you want to jump in at the last minute, please contact K4KBK.
-Still no substantive discussion about the Dayton Hamvention. I've been waiting for this to take over a net.
-I have to sandbag the next month or so due to a conflict with my schedule. Thanks to the volunteers for the net in March, but DSTAR net controllers are still needed. If you even have a thought you might want to be a net controller, please contact WD4ADF.  And if his silky voice and professional demeanor are too intimidating, contact me!
