Esteemed Club Members,

Here are some updates regarding Winter Field Day:
- We appear to be on the brink of locking in our Winter Field Day location at Alexandria Fire Station 210.  Expect a 24-hour-ish operation for those that want to crush the QSOs.
- We have a small planning team coming together.  If you would like to join, please send me a direct e-mail.  The current list includes: KT3I, N8IK, KI4D, K4KBK, and KO2THF.  Our first meeting (virtual) is this Tuesday 8pm.
- We will need setup assistance on Friday, January 23rd.  I fondly recall watching four hams trying to get a wire in a tree and not so fondly recall climbing a lot of steps to get antennas on the roof.  Good times! Let me know if you'd like to help.
- If you are curious about EMCOM, ARES or the other WFD activities, please let me know.  We might be able to put together some member support to get your own gear up and running, do an antenna build, or other equipment demos. Personally, I'd like to see if we can receive the WFD broadcast via Olivia this year.  Want to learn how to setup FLDIGI for your rig? Winlink? JS8Call? Make a satellite contact?  Those all might be options if there is interest.  Please contact me directly if you are enthralled with something specific.
- The need for additional support or equipment will be communicated once we are further along in planning.
