All,

Related to the hurricane response in Asheville NC: the repeater there is very active with welfare check and public assistance information dissemination related traffic, it’s a great example of what repeaters will be used for during a disaster. I recommend all net controllers or those interested in ARES or CERT radio teams listen in. Lots of unlicensed people using radios on the shelf or family members radios to check in.
