[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Help Needed

Happy new year to the Alexandria Radio Club.
My name is Gene Jenkins, n4jee and a former member of your fine organization. I put a lot of hours in on the initial building of the trailer. In fact, it was parked in my driveway and the majority of the initial work was done there.
I need help. I'm currently a member of the New Bern (NC) Amateur Radio Club and tomorrow is the first work party on our communications trailer. We are going to remove the paneling and install insulation.
If some of the old timers that worked on the original build, or those that have worked on retrofit projects, could dig into their 20/20 hindsight and send me a list of the things that we did wrong I'd appreciate it. What did we put in that was useless and what did we leave out that you've had to add over the years. Our budget is very tight and I don't want to waste time or money on unnecessary features.
