I would like to offer a sincere Thank You for your efforts in managing chaos at the Geo Washington Birthday Parade on Monday. You guys were AWESOME and you certainly did the Club very proud. We got it all done, had some great discussion, some communicator bonding and a few laughs too. I’ve had some initial feedback from both the parade committee staff and our participating members and while we can always improve on a process, the feedback has all been very positive on both the parade and the after-action gathering at Glory Days. If you have some recommendations for improving the parade process, please forward your comments to me and we will roll up them up to a summary document to share between our members and the Parade Committee staff.

Now, under the heading of “no good deed goes unpunished”, I’m looking for radio operators for March 2 to support the St. Patrick’s Day parade. This event will be smaller / quicker than the GW Parade and in fact will have the order of march locked down way before the parade steps off as there’s only about 3 minutes of travel between the start point and the reviewing stand!! We would use our same arrival time guidance / parking instructions as we did for the GW Parade as the Saint Patrick’s Day parade begins at 12:30 at the intersection of King and St. Asaph which is a block east of Washington St. The parade continues down King St, passing the location of where we had the trailer on Monday until it turns left in 2 blocks at Lee St and left again in 1 block on Cameron, returning up to Pitt St. Very compact!! Anyway, should be another fun outing. I will have the coffee and doughnuts at the trailer!!

Please let me know soonest if you can participate on Mar 2nd. While the St Patrick's parade is smaller (5 Divisions), it still requires a minimum number of volunteers to pull off the task.

Thanks!

73,
Sean
