Hey everyone,
It looks like HF Signals is continuing to improve on their previous releases with a brand new pocket sized HF rig. While it is limited to 5w on the primary bands (their previous rigs do taper off as you move into the higher bands, similar to the QDX and truSDX), it has a display and RPi Zero with linux built in! This means it will do FT8 and even FreeDV out of the box. You can run js8call on these as well, with no additional hardware but the screen isn't optimized for the interface so it's best to remote into it via wifi and run js8call that way.
Shipped this only costs $178, which is in the same range as the QDX and truSDX but with a lot more capability. I personally own the sBitx v3 and the uBitx v6 and they are both extremely well made. I won't make any recommendations yet, but I've already ordered one for evaluation as an entry level EmComm/ARES radio, essentially other than an antenna and analyzer, this would have everything you need to get on the air for HF keyboard to keyboard digital modes.
