[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Request for Assistance from World Central Kitchen

Hello,

World Central Kitchen (WCK), founded by Chef José Andrés, is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that provides food relief. Currently WCK’s Relief Team is in the Big Bend area of Florida, west of Gainesville, supporting families impacted by Hurricane Debby.

They are seeking guidance to help them to more effectively use radios during their responses domestically and internationally.  They have multiple needs to be addressed including use of radios during convoy, connecting the field kitchen with distribution sites, and supply boats to shore. Typically, there is no internet available in the areas in which they work.

They have a cache of UHF/VHF radios and have used GMRS radios in the past. They are willing to look at any and all radio options and need help to minimize spectrum issues.
