Please see the below. The SC Section will be conducting this test on the
same ay as the FCC/FEMA test. It's a good opportunity to check your systems
and re-familiarize yourself with operating Winlink ahead of the SET.

Greetings fellow ARRL Section Managers,

 

I have been asked by my Section EC Daniel Boyer, WD2DW to help recruit folks
across the country to help with a Simulated Emergency Test (SET) using
Winlink.  We are asking any amateur that is capable to send a Winlink Field
Situation Report (FRS) to SET-EMA3.  We are holding the test on October 4,
2023.  

 

Please share details with your section should you deem appropriate.  

 

SEC Daniel Boyer, WD2DW has asked stations across South Carolina and the
country to help with a Simulated Emergency Test (SET) on October 4th on
2023.  If you have the capability, please send a Winlink Field Situation
Report (FRS) anytime on October 4, 2023.  
 
You can send by any approved Winlink method.  You can find the Feild
Situation Report by opening Winlink Express, then the message tab,
select new message, select template, select Standard templates, Select
Mapping-GIS Forms, and you will find Field Situation Report.TXT 
 
Please answer all the questions listed as to your actual conditions and
send to SET-EMA3.  the Map and ISC-309 form will be published on the
SC-ARES Website on October 6, 2023.  www.sc-ares.org
