[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] [ARC Members Only] Proxy Form for Tax-exempt Proposal Referendum

“My vote is [NO) to the proposal for tax-exempt status (501(c)(3))
application and the supporting revised club articles of
incorporation.”

The club should consider applying for IRS 501C7 status, which will
provide the same tax-exempt status as the 501C3 without having to form
a BRAND NEW corporation that permanently shutters a nearly 54 year
old, fully functioning, VIBRANT Virginia Corporation, thereby
eliminating more than 69 years of rich community service to the City
of Alexandria.

Another club leadership member and I presented the 501C7 proposal to
the current president during his first tenure as club president in
2021.  The proposal never went beyond the board of directors.

For the record, I will NOT serve as the Registered Agent of the new
Virginia corporation proposed in the revised Articles of Incorporation
that we are voting on.
