[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] REMINDER: It is Not Too Late for VA Club Members to Sign Up for W1AW/4 March 15-21

Gordon reminded us last night about the need for W1AW/4 participation.  The
first (of two) W1AW/4 Volunteers on the Air events starts this Tuesday (15
Mar) and runs for 7 days .... there are still blocks of time available to
sign up if you'd like to work as W1AW/4 for an hour or two from your home
shack.  For those interested, sign up at:  http://bit.ly/3iYqWCS. I hope you
will jump into the water with me to help Virginia look good.

*The W1AW/4 callsign always draws a crowd!*

SPARC, the host club for the first Virginia week of the Volunteers on the
Air (VOTA) program, invites VA club members to sign up to use the W1AW/4
callsign. VOTA is a year-long event to honor all the volunteers of Amateur
Radio from ARRL staff to VEs and QSL Bureau card sorters. Hams contacting a
W1AW/4 station or volunteer can earn points towards certificates and ranking
at the end of the year.

You can operate Phone, CW and Digital modes on all bands except WARC bands.
W1AW/4 operators must use a computer logging program that can export an ADIF
file such as N1MM+ or similar and upload the file using an upload utility
provided by ARRL.
