[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] DSTAR Picture Sharing Tonight

A promising DSTAR Net tonight, Wednesday July 26, 2023, as we tried swapping photos over DSTAR. Slowscan TV, Picture Sharing, whatever Icom wants to call it, we know it works, and we know it can be a bit tricky.

N8IK was successful in TX from his 9700, but he didn’t get a chance to observe RX right away, since I had some mysterious choke. WA6MPR tossed another into the hat just as the net was closing, so we know for sure I don’t quite know what I’m doing. 

But Ian pointed out that a big gotcha here is you must use a plain .jpg in this mode, and I sure wasn’t. Well, that’ll be my next test, thanks very much for that info.

We will definitely try this again soon!
