VarAC is a phenomenal application that can exchange an FT8 style QSO (called a ping in VarAC) in as little as 10 seconds! It also supports very high speed real time text exchange as Don said, as well as sending files and message storage and forwarding.

It does required using VARA to serve as the modem, but fortunately this is free for 500hz users and significantly cheaper than any PACTOR option for full bandwidth data.
