Thanks Joe. Everything stated is true and DMR is the fastest growing segment in amateur radio. While radio purists may not consider DMR / Hotspots authentic radio communications because of the use of the internet, it sure makes global communications simple and clean. Look forward to attending the MARC presentation next month.

>> Work Australia from your easy chair on a small 440 MHz handheld? Talk to hams around the world with no noise, static, QSB or QRM. Impossible? Not at all, think Digital Mobile Radio (DMR). This technology uses DMR repeaters, or tiny personal devices called “Hotspots” to connect you with other Radio amateurs from the comfort of your easy chair. No outside antennas are required for Hotspots, in your home, in your car, or anywhere the internet is available.

>> Dick Hayman, WN3R, will share with us his vast experience and understanding of this fascinating technology. You may have heard that getting on DMR is difficult and expensive! Not true, says Dick. He will explain that for less than $75 you can get on this fascinating mode very easily. He is very willing to provide individual help as well.
