[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Winter Field Day Final

Winter Field Day officially starts at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time today and ended
at 1:59 p.m. tomorrow.  Please see  https://www.winterfieldday.com/ for
rules and other information about the event.  

 

This year Alexandria Radio Club is operating as "W4HFH" from City of
Alexandria Fire Station 210, as previously noted. This is a non-public event
at Station 210.  Everyone would be welcome with open arms if this were a
"normal"  Field Day event at a public location, but no one will be welcome
with open arms at this event that is not a participant. This means that no
one should just "drop by.".  Participants in this event have already
registered and received a briefing on the layout of the station and the
"do's and don'ts."  The importance of following the "do's and don'ts" of the
station cannot be overstated.  This is our first use of a fire station for a
W4HFH operating event, and could very well be our last if we don't leave a
good impression. 

 

For those participants operating at the W4HFH station, please don't forget
to bring your earphones.  We will be operating in a confined space that
otherwise could get too noisy and distracting.  

 

For those operating at home, please don't forget to include Alexandria Radio
Club your club when uploading your contacts at the Winter Field Day website.
It will help our ranking on the contest side.
