Ian,
I suspect the SD card has multiple partitions. If the FT5DR is anything
like the FT2DR then it can only see the first logical partition in the SD
card. If the SD card was used in something else (Raspberry Pi, Song
camera, handicam, et el) then it is likely there are two or more logical
partitions on the card. As an example Raspberry pi has a “boot” partition
and then a “root” partition and maybe some others like swap.
If this is the case, delete all the partitions on the drive

partition (or fat32) the. Put it in the radio and format it.
