[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] CARA Fest is Sunday, 1 October 2023

The Columbia Amateur Radio Association (CARA, K3CUJ) is pleased to announce
that the annual CARA Fest is on Sunday, 1 October 2023 at the Howard County
Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland. We are emailing all the local
club POCs and editors listed with ARRL to request your help in spreading
the word. The key information is pasted below for your convenience, and our
flyer is attached if you would like to share it.



CARA is also pleased to provide indoor tables for our fellow clubs to
spread awareness of their activities, free of charge. If you have not
already been in touch with us to coordinate an information table, you may
book a complimentary table on the Tickets page of the CARA Fest website
<http://www.carafest.org/>, let me know and I will put you in touch with
our coordinator.

Tickets

   - $10 admission per person (kids 16 and under FREE)
   - $10 per outdoor vendor/tailgater space
   - $20 per indoor vendor table
      - ** New this year -- indoor vendors can pre-select desired
      tables/locations when purchasing on the CARA Fest website!

Schedule

   - 6am
      - Gates open for vendor/tailgater setup
   - 7am-noon
      - Vendor/Tailgater Sales
      - Club Exhibits
      - DXCC Card Checking
   - 9am-10:30am
      - Amateur Radio License Testing



Other Activities

   - Food will be available for purchase from the Lions Club (while
   supplies last)
   - Each adult admission is a chance to win one of several door prizes
   (you do not need to be present to win)
