Hey folks, if you’re in a discord chat, Facebook group, or the JS8Call group , I apologize for double tapping you all, since I’m sure you’ve seen my ramblings, but I wanted to make sure I reached everyone for input.

I’ve been working on a bridge to go from JS8call, which is digital sound card HF mode that supports keyboard to keyboard messaging, to matrix, which is a very robust TCP/IP based chat protocol and open source platform.

I’ve got several reasons for this, but what I need today is to hear from YOU! I need the members voice here. Specifically those who have used JS8Call, APRS, and those with a background in software development.

What do you use APRS for? Have you ever used SMSGTE, and what for?

Do you use HF? If not why?

Do you use HF digital sound card modes? Why/why not?

Do you use JS8Call? Why/why not.

What do you think the usefulness of connectivity between APRS and an HF sound card mode is.
