Featured Topic: Build a 10-meter Moxon Antenna by John Portune, W6NBC, via
Zoom
Ham Workshop Topic: Beyond Line of Sight (LOS) with NVIS (Near Vertical
Incident Skywave): What is NVIS? by Don Lewis, KI4D
This will be John's third presentation to Alexandria Radio Club. This time
John will present "Build a 10-meter Moxon Antenna." This is a great project
for new hams wanting to experience the coming peak of Sunspot Cycle 25 on 10
meters. Experienced hams can also use this antenna for portable and field
day operations, or redesign it for other bands. John is constantly coming
up with new and novel antenna ideas and has published over 25 articles in
QST and other publications. His current interests are assisting new
licensees, local 2M mobile, and 40M Mobile as a part of RVing. John has
been a regular lecturer at local radio clubs in his area, and has become a
guest lecturer to many clubs across the country, including Canada in recent
years.
