Attended another super presentation by John Portune, W6NBC, this morning.
His presentation on the "Inflatable Bike Tire Magnetic Loop Antenna" opened
an entirely new world of thinking for me about alternative antenna
materials.  With 60+ years as a ham operator, I somehow missed the class on
that topic along the way, or was not paying attention.  Thanks to John, I am
already thinking about how to redesign some of my antennas.  A link to the

As an aside, John will be giving a Zoom presentation at our next club
meeting on April 14th on "Build a 10m Moxon and for Other Bands."  For those
interested in operating on 10m during the height of sunspot cycle 25, this
would be a great little back yard antenna.
