Class Session last Tuesday; but others may find it interesting, as well.
What I mentioned in class is that the area where the sun is directly
centered over the earth provides the greatest density of ionization of the
ionosphere for HF refraction activity; this can be seen on the link below.
Places like Alaska and other locations closer to the poles do not get a high
degree of ionization directly above them.
