Subject: ARRL VA Section Volunteer Positions

 

Dear VA Section Amateur Radio Colleagues:

 

  It is absolutely critical in the life of a Section, that people step up to do various volunteer positions. As of now, the VA Section has a Section Manager, an Assistant Section Manager, a Section Emergency Coordinator, three (3) Assistant Section Emergency Coordinators, and a Webmaster to do the job for the Section. In addition, there are District Emergency Coordinators for four( 4) of seven(7) VA ARES Districts. Included in that are many counties without Emergency Coordinators. 

 

With that, I am appealing to local leaders to broadcast, assist, and help identify potential leaders for the Section. I am not looking for current overworked leaders who have gone the mile to help their local clubs thrive. Hopefully there are Section amateur radio operators who will step up to the cause and apply for one of the attached positions.

 

The need for a  Section leadership  team is imperative and a  large support network is preferable. Hopefully, we will find this team.
