[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Quick & Easy Virginia QSO Party Points

Get quick  & easy Virginia QSO points tomorrow by meeting at 10:00 a.m.
tomorrow with club members on our club W4HFH repeater, 147.315 MHz, PL
107.2. Once we meet there, the plan is to QSY from the W4HFH repeater to
simplex frequencies starting at UHF and progressively move band to band
until we reach 80 meters using phone.  This will allow all Technician Class
operators to immediately get several contacts and qualify for VA QSO Party
certificates for participation.

 

Although we always have flexibility to change things as we go along, here
are the basic rules:

 

*	If you do not have a certain simplex frequency capability, please
QSY to the next frequency that follows and wait until the group arrives. 

 

*	We will operate the same as a regular net with a net control
operator that will acknowledge and list all calls.  The net control operator
will then call each operator in turn from the list, make a contact exchange
for their logs, and give that caller a round while all station make contact
with that station. When a round is complete, the net control operator
resumes control and calls on the next station on the list for a round.
Fewer contacts will be needed with each successive round.   

 

*	When operators have made contact with all other operators, the net
control operator will conclude the net by providing the next frequency for
the group meeting.  

 

*	This process will continue until all frequencies have been visited.

 

Order of bands/frequencies:

*	70cm - 446.00 FM
*	1.25M - 223.500 FM
*	2M - 146.580 FM
*	6M - 50.130 SSB
*	10M - 28.370 SSB
*	15M - 21.370 SSB (General & Above)
*	20M - 14270 SSB  (General & Above)               
*	40M - 7260 SSB  (General & Above)
*	80M - 3860 SSB  (General & Above)
