Interesting reading.

FM on 11 meters will be interesting.  Not so many heterodynes as
multiple people key up at the same time.  If nothing else, listening
to 11 meters will be easier because you won't have to listen to the
background noise.

I can see the benefits of allowing position location to this for the
CERT folks using GMRS.
