I would comment that despite the 100s of units they already deployed, 
they cover a very small footprint and only in areas with high congestion 
(where there is billing to be had).    It will be years and years - and 
perhaps 10s of thousands of low orbit satellites that need to be 
deployed for this system to work.  With that said, even though in LEO 
they are succeptible to space weather as well to some degree.    I think 
HAM will be around a long time as a suitable alternative!
