Subject: [FairfaxARES] REMINDER: Next General Membership Meeting of the NVFMA, 17 September @ 1900 via Zoom

 

A reminder that the next meeting of the Northern Virginia FM Association will be held via Zoom on Thursday 17 September starting at 1900 hours at the link at the end of this message.  All amateurs are invited and encouraged to join us.   The featured presentation will be by Tim Duffy, K3LR, of DX Engineering.   If you don’t know of Tim, he is a major player in the contesting realm with a most impressive station in Mercer County, PA.  He will focus his presentation on the world famous K3LR Station, it’s antennas, and what it takes to build and keep his station running.  If you’ve ever wondered how the big dogs on HF live and operate, this is your opportunity to see firsthand. 

 

After Tim’s presentation we will have a short business meeting including updates on the work to bring Wires-X to the forefront on the 91 machine along with other projects.
