The NVFMA will be hosting an in person test session this fall, tentatively scheduled for 31 October but may get pushed back a week or two.
It will be held at Fire Station 413 in Dunn Loring, on Gallows Road. It will be, based on our current COVID situation, an open session. Our bingo hall is about to be used for bingo with 80 patrons all 6 ft apart and we just did a review with the County Health Department and they were pleased with our plans and process. So we don’t feel doing a testing will be a problem. Understand some may not be that comfortable with it and totally respect that but feel for those that are we can offer it.
I will make sure it is known once the date is finalized.

Shawn

Rich,
I talked to on of the proctors at Fort Washington ARC. They follow all the COVID-19 rules for Maryland.
I passed the Technician Test at the June testing at the Alexandria ARC Testing Site. I noticed that there were proctors not wearing there mask not properly during the testing. Just proves as you said, it depends on the testing site how the COVID-19 rules are followed.

Maryland has very different rules than Virgina regarding COVID-19 and group meetings. Keep in mind Maryland has more COVID-19 cases per capita than Virginia.
DO NOT assusume that because the Ft Washington Club SAYS they are doing an exam on Oct 14 that it will happen. Most exam sessions are being cancelled for safety reasons.
If you have been following the news, COVID-19 is way up in Eurpoe and Israel is preparing for another country-wide lockdown.
An online exam is your best bet

Mark,
I have been looking as well for the next test location. I did make contact with Jeff Humbert, Fort Washington, MD, they were testing on 9 September and 14 October. I am studying for the General. I am in the process of looking for a closer location. From Alexandria, VA to Fort Washington it is about 12 miles. I provided the email below that you may use to contact Jeff to get your daughters on his list if you are interested in making the drive to Fort Washington.

I do not know of any in-person exams being done right now because of the COVID-19 situation.
Take a look at HamStudy.org. They have a link for on-line remote exams. They will explain how its done.
Nobody in this area is set up to do on-line exams at this time.
