[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Club Elmers Needed

This note is seeking club members to become Elmers for new members to turn
to for assistance. As you may know ham radio has a great tradition where
mentors are called Elmers.  Many hams can remember their Elmers from long
ago.  Alexandria Radio Club has a wealth of ham radio experience in its
membership.  Many club members are willing volunteers to share their ham
knowledge and experience with our newest club members.  When a new club
member needs mentoring help with a certain topic, that new member needs to
know which mentor is available to help them with their concern.  

 

We have created a form to help collect information for listing our club
Elmers.  Information from this form will help us to provide a list of topics
with  mentors and their expertise so those who need help will know whom to
contact.  Because new club members may know very little or nothing about how
the club can assist them, this end product is a list of topics showing
mentoring volunteers that will be made available to new club members.

 

Elmers are needed for the topics listed in the attachment.  If you are
interested in becoming a club Elmer, please fill out the form located at:
