[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] VA General Assembly Bills affecting amateur radio

The VA General Assembly will begin their 2020 legislative session a little later this month.

I found 4 bills on the General Assembly's website concerning use of handheld communications devices while driving.

All 4 bills ban the use of handheld wireless devices while driving. 

HB 377, SB 136 and SB 160 all specifically state the ban does NOT apply to amateur and Citizens Band operators.

HB 387, does not have exemption for anyone except public safety.
