Hey folks,

Just got back from Fire Station 201 (317 Prince St). I have installed the
following equipment at said location:

   - W4HFH-RM2-OMNI-006 - Rocket M2 with 15dBi Omni Antenna, located in the
   attic
   - W4HFH-RM5-SECT-005 - Rocket M5 with 19dBi 120º Sector pointed due
south from the bell tower (eastern side of building)
   - W4HFH-RM5-SECT-004 - Rocket M5 with 19dBi 120º Sector pointed due
north from the addition over the bunk-room (north-west corner of building)
   - RasPBX - Let me know if anyone wants to play with this
   - Managed switch with Vlans setup for each of the 4 nodes + WAN access
   - GL-MT300N-V2 - Router connected to Alexandria.Wireless (City of
   Alexandria's public Wifi)
   - 200amp/hr LiFePO4 battery
   - Remote control relay/raspberry pi to disconnect/reconnect the system
   from street source power

I ran some test to see how the setup would perform over the parade route:

   - 2.4GHz from the parking lot of Safeway on S. Royal St yielded a
throughput of 256 Kbits/sec (iPerfspeed). The client was a NanoStation Loco
M2 sitting on the roof of my car.
   - 2.4GHz from the corner of Cameron St and N. Royal St yeilded a
throughput of 575 Kbits/sec (iPerfspeed). The client was a NanoStation
Loco M2 sitting on the dashboard of my car.
   - I was able to hit the 5.8Ghz nodes from the above two locations using
a Nanotstation M5 again from my car, however I did not run iPerf Speed.

My plan for parade day is to disconnect street source power Sunday morning
and run off of battery power for the parade. The raspberry pi will monitor
the battery bank and switch back to street source power if the voltage
drops below 11% of peak load.

Cheers,
Joe, KT3I
