As mentioned on the club net earlier tonight, the Amateur Radio on
the International Space Station (ARISS) will celebrate the 20th
anniversary of continuous ham radio operation from the ISS with a
slow-scan television (SSTV) event starting on Thursday December 24,
2020, Christmas Eve, through Thursday December 31, 2020, New Year's Eve.

Images will be transmitted on 145.800 MHz FM using the SSTV mode PD-120.
All you need to do to receive SSTV pictures direct from the space
station is to tune your amateur radio transceiver to 145.800 MHz,
connect the audio output of your radio to your computer sound card
interface, and use the MMSSTV software to decode and view the image.
Images can also be viewed by holding a smartphone running an
appropriate app up to your transceiver speaker.
You have a week to tweak your antenna, set up your equipment, and get
your ducks in a row before the Christmas Eve broadcast next Thursday.
73,
Gary
