Barry provided his story and a presentation abstract:

Licensed in 1958 (KN3EUI) as a teenager, my knowledge of electronics was nil
back then, but I could memorize hundreds of questions and answers to pass
FCC tests. It took me decades to really understand radio concepts, which I
would now like to share with others. I am a retired physics
teacher/professor with a background in astrophysics. I now love to tinker
with sound card digital modes and build and test antennas. I am the net
manager of the Pennsylvania NBEMS (EMCOMM) net and active in ARES/RACES in
Chester County PA.

 

Presentation Abstract:

What is a Vector Network Analyzer?

What is all the fuss over this NANO VNA for under $100?

How to set up a Nano VNA with computer software on Win 10.

How to Calibrate the device: short, open, load (50 ohms).

How to use an VNA to analyze antennas.

Vocabulary:  reflection coefficient, return loss, phase, resistance,
reactance, impedance, SWR, and Smith Chart.
