[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Two Microphones need homes

I have a Heil BM-10 and BM-12.  They have the Ten-Tec 4-pin cable, but Heil has cables for any other radio.

If I have a run of about 100' from an ocf antenna, would lmr-240 be OK to use?

 

I realize lmr-440 is the "gold" standard and lmr-240 will have slightly greater loss, but will it be significant.  HRO was pushing lmr-240 over lmr-400.  

 

Of the ham antenna installations I've seen so far, it seems like thicker coax is always in use.

 

Any recommendations would be appreciated.
