Phil,
        Last year CAP acted as parade marshals for the Washington's Birthday parade.  I heard some feedback from some of our club members that the CAP. folks used their radios and their assigned frequencies to send changes in the order of March and my not have provided this data to our members.  As we edit the order of March and send it as one file to the reviewing stand, this can cause confusion.
        I am meeting with the parade organizers and will share our concerns.  We will work together, but we will have a common plan.

And they did not know why we were there.  They had radios too, and at the
beginning it was difficult to know who was reporting what.  There were some
personality issues, but dealing with humans, there is always that.

None that I encountered, other than we didn't know why they were there.

If they provided marshals, I don't see a problem.  Just need to let them
know communications is covered.
