Hello Rick:
I am contacting you because we need your help. In only a few days local shops, historic sites and buildings in Old Town Alexandria turn into performance venues to showcase local talent and celebrate the New Year. It's fun, affordable, safe, family friendly and the best New Year's Eve party anywhere! There are twenty-one performance venues this year, four "Kids Karnival" locations and big finish this year called "Rockin' on the River." All these locations need volunteers. Here are a few ways you can help:
The first way you can help us is to be a volunteer. All the volunteer information is right on the main website: https://firstnightalexandria.org/volunteer/. In the Volunteer section of the site, you can find out about volunteering, select your location & time, and sign up,
There are opportunities for groups to volunteer, like folks who work together, or church groups, exercise groups, hobby groups, groups of friends, or other "affinity groups." If you are in a group (or know of a group) that would enjoy volunteering together for a few hours to celebrate the New Year, please contact me directly and we will find the perfect match.
The second way you can help is to spread the word, take a moment to
