[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Problem found, replacement ordered

What's been keeping me and my FT817 off the air was a problem in the 
connector for the headset at the radio I THOUGHT. It turns out that the 
black wire in my Heil Trigger switch was where the intermittent open 
was. It was fully broken, and only touched the place it should have by 
luck, and the slightest movement would open the connection again.

Since I don't feel comfortable soldering anymore, I ordered a 
replacement from HRO. I can bring the old one to the next meeting I get 
to if someone wants to solder the wire back to the switch connection and 
have themselves a Heil trigger switch.

I thought the problem was at the connector due to the skinny wire that 
connected to the jack for the switch, but it is still OK it seems, so I 
now have a spare cable for that.
